I’ve just published a new digital project: a Google Map featuring 136 figures from Hungarian history, each placed at a location connected to their life — their birthplace, death, or historical significance.

đŸ–Œïž Each marker includes a portrait, dates, and a link to their English-language biography on my website. Note that not only can Hungarian people be found on it, and the list is still not complete.

Why does a map like this matter?
Because Hungarian history deserves to be seen, not just remembered in textbooks, but mapped, visualized, and made globally accessible.
We are:
đŸ”č Creating a global Hungarian presence – putting our historical memory on the world’s map, where it would otherwise remain invisible.
đŸ”č Telling our story in our own voice – not waiting for others to define who we were.
This is history from below — without institutions, without grants, but with purpose.
💬 Please share, comment, or send it to someone who’d care. Let’s show the world who we were — and still are.
